Sunny Horizons

Speech Therapy for a Brighter Tomorrow

Meet our Team

Lisa Ayers M.S., CCC-SLP

Lisa Ayers is a Speech Language Pathologist and Owner of Sunny Horizons, LLC.  She is originally from Illinois where she received her B.S. in Communicative Disorders at Northern Illinois University. She completed her Masters Degree at Tennessee State University in Nashville.  She decided to open Sunny Horizons when she realized the need for speech therapy services in Scottsboro and the surrounding areas. She has worked in many settings with a variety of populations. Helping her patients improve their communication and achieve their highest potential is her goal.  Lisa lives in Scottsboro with her husband Craig and their two boys Jackson and Luke.

Sandy Hambly M.A. CCC-SLP

Sandy is our Speech Therapist at our Guntersville location.  She graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders in 1998.  She started working in a California Development Center with adults with severe disabilities.  After moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, she began working in Early Intervention, with kids age 0-3.  She continued in Early Intervention when she moved to Alabama, until we opened our second location of Sunny Horizons, LLC in Guntersville.  Sandy loves working with children and their families so she can “watch their personalities emerge through their speech”.  In her spare time Sandy and her husband, Don, enjoy boating and touring the country on their Gold Wing motorcycle.

Hiliary Patterson SLPA. B.S. Communicative Disorders

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

As most of you know, my name is Hilliary Patterson. I spent most of my life growing up in Scottsboro before moving off to attend Auburn University where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders in 2012. I have been practicing Pediatric Speech Therapy for a year and a half now gaining new and exciting experiences with each child I get the pleasure of treating. My fiancé and I are getting married in October, I have a precious puppy named Lennon, and I love rooting my Auburn Tigers on!
I have had a blast getting to know all of your children and look forward to seeing them grow here at Sunny Horizons.
Mandy Hays M.A. CCC-SLP
